Woeful Ash punished for poor performance
As Captain Edward Smith said, “What the hell was that?”
Let’s get one thing straight right from the get go, G&W deserved the win, they wanted it more, took their chances well, and played better than Ash, no question, well done them.
Ash however were at best, disappointing, and at worse, farcical. A bad day at the office? Yes, if that office is Southeastern trains.
In their defence, the 5’s were missing several key figures, and before long lost another when Gary the Gash was injured and had to retreat from the afray. Having shipped three quick goals, the team spirit pulled it back to 3-2, with a fine finish from Hawes-Gatt and a stunning strike from “ I drove myself” Connor Parker. But that was that really, G&W took control, Ash battled hard, with Hendry and the Gollan boys not giving an inch, but all they came away with was another fine finish by PoM, and proud owner of a centenary scarf, Hawes-Gatt.
If there were to be a DoD for this game, we would need one of those big boxes, with 15 in, that Americans call breakfast, for it would need to go to the whole team.
Onwards and upwards gents.
