Burnt Ash Cup Draw Summary

We've been knocked out of most of the cup competitions now, but the Mixed are still in the England Hockey Championships and Kent Cup.

Men's 1s

They beat Ashford 4-0 in the first round of the Kent Cup, but lost to Old Bordenians in the second round.

They lost 2-1 in the first round of the Tier 2 Championship to Eastbourne.

Men's 2s

The Men's 2s were given a bye in Round 1 of the Tier 3 Championships, and beat Blackheath & Elthamians 2s 2-1 in Round 2. They now travel to Oxted 2s in Round 3 on Sunday 3rd February.

Men's 3s

They lost 5-2 to K Sports (Cobdown) 1s in the Tier 4 Championships.

Ladies 1s

They also got a bye in the Tier 2 Championships, and received a walkover in round 2. They now play their first game in round 3, where they travel to East London on Sunday 10th February.

The winner of this tie has been drawn away to either Maidstone or Jersey on Sunday 24th February.

Ladies 2s

The Ladies 2s reached the semi-finals of the Tier 4 Championships last season, and this season's campaign started with a bye, then a 2-1 win at Croydon & Old Whifgiftians in Round 2. They now travel to Tulse Hill & Dulwich on Sunday 10th February


The Mixed Team have entered the first Kent Mixed Cup. This starts with a group stage, with the top two qualifying for semi-finals in April. They have so far beaten BBHC, and drawn against Holcombe. Remaining fixtures are as follows (although there is flexibility to change in the event of a clash with another cup competition).

17th March - Blackheath & Elthamians (away)
TBC - New Beccehamians (away)

They lost to Canterbury in round of the Tier 1 Championships. In Tier 2, they beat Addiscombe 11-2 in Round 1, and drawn away to Hampstead & Westminster in the second round, due to be played on Sunday 17th February, but postponed to 24th February. The winner is at home to Blueharts or Wapping in the next round the following week, 3rd March.

Men's Masters (40+)

The Men's Masters were awarded a walkover against Marden Russets round 1 of the Tier 2 Championships, and lost to Maidstone in round 2. They also lost to Herne Bay in Tier 3 in Round 2, having not been required to play in Round 1.

News of the Kent Cup is awaited.

Ladies Masters (35+)

The Ladies Masters have beaten East London of the Tier 2 Championships and narrowly lost to Bromley & Beckenham in round 2.

3rd March Possible Mixed v Blueharts or Wapping (T2, R3)

10th March Robin Gollan Memorial Trophy

24th March Possible mixed, depending on success (T2, R4)

31st March TBC - Mixed @ New Beccehamian (KC)
